Myrmer
Myrmer is the solo music venture of Andrew Emilio Colangeli, based in southern Oregon's Rogue Valley. A bassist and songwriter since the age of 19, he spent several years in a band (now known as Interwhile), and has steadily expanded his musical scope over the years to bring the tunes in his head to life, having added guitar playing and singing as well as recording and mixing to his repertoire. The Myrmer (pronounced 'murmur') project serves as both the sandbox and the gallery, where these songs and arrangements are simultaneously experimented on and showcased.
The core musical inspirations behind Myrmer consist of just a small handful of groups and artists (among them No Use For A Name and Goldfinger) that nonetheless cover an almost comically wide range of styles and genres. Because of this, Myrmer offers up plenty of colorful variations from song to song.
Having just released his fourth Myrmer album in December 2025, Andrew is already hard at work on the fifth, which is well on track to be completed in 2026, and has also begun work on recording more material for future Interwhile releases.
